Originally built in the 1980s as a holiday complex for Belgian visitors, this area has since become a true mix — it’s just as common to find local residents as tourists here! Just 15–20 minutes from Tenerife South Airport (TFS) and the best beaches in the south (Los Cristianos–Costa Adeje), the complex offers everything you need for a relaxing holiday. In the town center (10 minutes on foot), you’ll find a wide variety of shops, restaurants, and bars — all at surprisingly reasonable prices.

The town is home to what many consider the most beautiful beach on the island, Playa Amarilla. You can also take a pleasant walk to the nearby village of Las Galletas, a lively fishing town with a large port.

For shopping, Hermusa is just a few minutes’ walk away, and for bigger purchases there’s SuperDino. There’s a local farmers’ market in the center of Las Chafiras and a flea market in Guaza.

If you want to taste local flavors, Sabor Canario won’t disappoint — but it’s also worth exploring the offerings on Hercules Street, like Gallo Gastro or El Vagabundo in the neighboring village.
