La Graciosa

La Graciosa, the smallest and most untouched of the Canary Islands, is a true hidden gem. Located just off the northwest coast of Lanzarote, it officially became the eighth inhabited Canary Island only a few years ago. With its peaceful, authentic atmosphere and beautiful beaches, La Graciosa is the perfect destination for those looking to escape the crowds and discover unspoiled nature.

What makes La Graciosa special is that there are no paved roads — the houses are built directly into the sand, and locals get around by bike or 4×4 jeep. You can walk around the entire island in a single day, stumble upon secret oases, and enjoy crystal-clear bays all to yourself.

Like the rest of the archipelago, the island has a mild and pleasant climate year-round. In summer, temperatures range from 25 to 28 °C, and in winter, from 18 to 22 °C — ideal for exploring and enjoying the outdoors. The Atlantic breeze is a constant presence, but it’s usually light and refreshing.

La Graciosa isn’t just known for its beaches — it also offers a uniquely untouched natural environment. The small volcanic island is shaped by dry, rugged hills and dotted with white sand beaches and turquoise waters. It’s almost entirely car-free and has only two small settlements: Caleta de Sebo and Pedro Barba, where visitors can experience the calm rhythm of local life. La Graciosa is the perfect getaway for nature lovers in search of peace, clean air, and breathtakingly raw landscapes.
